体育赛事的主办方和观众最怕什么？必定是买卖黄牛票和伪票。因此，对于体育产业而言，NFT的出现能为票务领域提供了新方向与解决思路，目前，全球的体育行业都正在积极探索使用NFT取代传统的票务系统的可能性。
其中，2024年奥运会的东道国 — — 法国，其政府正考虑在巴黎奥运会上使用NFT的方式售票。 法国政府负责奥运会和其他重大体育赛事筹备工作的特使米歇尔·卡多（Michel Cadot）主张在该国在未来举办的重大体育赛事中，都采用区块链技术购买门票。
卡多以英格兰队利物浦队和西班牙足球队的比赛为例，在那场比赛当中，开球时间因比赛门票的大规模伪造而推迟，其中，分配给利物浦球队的 15,000 张门票中更是有 10% 是伪造的。因此，他笃定在体育赛事售票系统中采用区块链技术能可以防止此类情况再次发生。
目前，法国放眼在2023 年橄榄球世界杯和 2024 年奥运会等大型体育赛事部署运用区块链技术，以提升售票的效率与正确性。
怎么进行？以奥运会为例，目前的初步想法为：奥运会组织者将在活动开始前几天发送NFT门票，每个参加活动的人都应该通过区块链技术获得门票，这个门票将作为一个循环使用的二维码，在不同场馆扫码进入。更特别的是，NFT门票仅会在活动地点的某个指定区域与时段被激活，从源头上杜绝任何可能的伪造。
但法国运用NFT的体育赛事早已悄悄开始发芽。
在上个月，法国网球联合会就借助NFT售卖5000个单独编号和独立设计的菲利普-夏蒂埃球场的虚拟座位，而菲利普-夏蒂埃为法国网球赛中重大赛事的首选之地。而购买了法网的NFT后，拥有的不仅是一张虚拟座椅，更可以获得通过抽奖而参与球员见面会、球赛门票等线下活动，并且带能对法网提出改革的意见与看法。
